Heirloom Cacao Preservation #1
HCP Bolivia Heirloom #1, Alto Beni Beniano, Bolivia
Description
Bolivia doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves in the specialty cacao world, and that's part of what makes this origin so unique.
Crafted from HPC cacao grown in the Alto Beni, Bolivia, this bar captures the natural elegance of the region’s terroir. This rare single-origin cacao is sourced from Felix Paredes Farm in the Alto Beni Region, Bolivia, in collaboration with the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund.
Interesting background fact: In 2014, Alto Beni cacao became the first cacao in the world to receive a designation from the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund (HCP #1), recognizing both the genetic heritage and the extraordinary flavor quality of the beans produced in the region.
Handcrafted in Boulder, Colorado, this 80% cacao bar is complex and full-bodied with a distinctive loam, grassy, and herbal character that earned the HCP benchmark designation.
Ideal for chocolate lovers who appreciate depth without bitterness, and perfect for pairing with tea, still evenings, or moments of quiet focus.
