Crispy and crunchy chocolate nibs snuggle in a silky chocolate bed. This handcrafted bar is made from Maya Mopan cacao and topped with whiskey-soaked nibs. A three-day bath of Dry Land Antero Whiskey gave our Belizean beans the leather, slate, and smoke of its 100% Colorado Antero single-origin whiskey. The caramel and spice notes of the Maya Mopan match similar notes in the whiskey, which is made from Arnusch Farms' local artisan grain grown in Prospect Valley, Colorado — especially for the craft beverage market. What a great match for our regenerative trade cacao beans from the jungles of Maya Mopan!
Tasting notes: roasted nibs give the bar a lovely crunch. Hints of peat and woodsmoke as well as sharper notes on the finish. Our tasters detected hints of mexican hot chocolate and cinnamon roll in this boozy treat.
