Colorado CBD?
CBD or (Cannabidiol) is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the Cannabis plant. This plant has been used for thousands of years as medicine, starting with the Chinese in 2900 BC. The human body has an endocannabinoid system that is the foundation of our bodies, being able to interact with Cannabinoids found in cannabis. It is part of homeostatic and physiologic functions vital for good health. Unlike THC, CBD does not have psychoactive effects and does not cause a high.
There are a variety of forms of Cannabidiol. The two we currently use in our chocolate are CBD Isolate + Full Spectrum CBD.
CBD Isolate
CBD Isolate is a crystalline solid or powder of CBD in its purest form. This happens when extracting all other compounds in the cannabis plant, isolating it down to just CBD—having no other ingredients such as remaining waxes, flavonoids and terpenes.
Full Spectrum CBD
Full Spectrum CBD is considered whole plant medicine. It contains all the cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, such as CBD (Cannabidiol), trace amounts of other cannabinoids, essential oils, and terpenes. Full Spectrum will naturally contain trace amounts of THC, below 0.3%. This is still non-psychoactive but can show up as a false positive during a drug test if taken at a high dosage daily. There is approximately .0625 mg of THC in one of our 20mg squares.
Broad Spectrum CBD
Broad Spectrum CBD has no trace amounts of THC, which is completely removed. Usually, it has a higher percentage of CBD—still containing Cannabidiol and all other compounds within the plant.
Dosage
CBD dosage varies for each individual. Micro dosing is considered to be 0.5-10 mg, while standard dosing is 10-100 mg. Macro dosing is 100-800. Our CBD squares contain 20 mg. This is a standard dose to feel relaxed, calm, and at ease.
Can CBD Be Shipped?
Yes, all products shipped must contain less than a 0.3% THC level. We can ship to 50 states since the signing of the 2018 Farm Bill.
